Staehr: Everyone was hyped and ready from the start

We asked Victor "Staehr" Staehr, the 19-year-old rifler, for his thoughts on the team's performance against the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen finalist, FaZe.

"Well, we played very well, considering we won 2-0 against FaZe, one of the best teams in the world. So yes, it was an excellent result. FaZe has some world-class players, so we approached the match one play and step at a time. It honestly went very smoothly on the server, and then we just crushed all opposition," says Staehr.

"Everyone hit their shots, contributing to perfect rounds with powerful impact, and we also brought a lot of good energy yesterday. Everyone was hyped and ready from the start—as we won all four pistol rounds," he adds.

Can you point out a pivotal moment, play, or player that made the difference?

"Everyone did something significant. For example, jabbi had a crucial and outstanding 1v3 clutch on Nuke, and we all generally had many clutches, which were vital for the match. But generally, just the energy in Teamspeak, when we play and hype each other, is also vital for moving forward and staying positive, even when losing rounds," says Staehr.

What can you take with you going into the match against Virtus.pro?

"The outstanding energy needs to continue, and we know what we are capable of now. We just beat the number-one team in the world, so we should carry that momentum forward. If we do it well enough, we could go all the way," Staehr states.

Can you sum up your run at IEM Chengdu so far?

"There's not much to say about it other than it has been a fantastic debut. We have won both matches so far, showing quite a dominant performance. dev1ce has done an excellent job calling successful plans in both matches and overall," says Staehr.
