On July 30 our main team won 2-0 against ENCE in the Group C decider match of the Brazy Party 2023 tournament, which secures our spot in the Playoffs.
After suffering a tough loss yesterday against SAW we needed to bounce back to fight for our spot in the Playoffs in the $333,000 tournament. And bounce back we did.
As always, device put on a show and was instrumental in delivering the killing blow to ENCE with an impressive 40 kills across the two maps and a 1.34 rating. Right alongside device, our Talent team newcomer Altekz also delivered a great performance with 37 kills and a 1.28 rating.
Coming in hot
The matched kicked off on our map pick Overpass on which we swiftly dominated the International roster and won the first map 16-6.
We began the map on our T side and came out firing on all cylinders as we ended the first half with a dominating 12-3 lead.
With device, Buzz and Talent team newcomer Altekz all delivering great performances we continued the stomping on our CT side and managed to close out the first map of Overpass in dynamite fashion 16-6.
The second map was ENCE's map pick Mirage, and while being a more tied up affair than the first map, we still managed to secure the win 16-14 to close out the series 2-0. Altekz also proved to be a winning component on the second map as he secured 20 kills with a 1.18 rating across the 30 rounds of play.
We started the first half as CTs and it was clear from the start that ENCE, the 9th best ranked team in the world, were putting up more of a fight on their own map pick, which resulted in the the first half ending with a 7-8 deficit.
As we switched to the T side we bounced back with a pistol round win to kick start our comeback, but ENCE kept tying up the scoreline all the way to the end. With the score all tied up 12-12 we pulled off a miraculous eco-round win as we stole the round with a beautiful A execute with nothing more than some pistols to our name.
The international roster still did not give up without a fight and made us work to close out the series after reaching match point with 15 rounds.
As the score reached 15-14 though, device pulled off a fiery hot AWP domination and single handedly picked off 3 of the ENCE players while standing alone in the middle of the A bomb site. This was enough to break the opponents' back and we finally managed to close out the second map 16-14.

Meanwhile, our Astralis Talent team has been battling it out in the CCT Central Europe Series 6 tournament and has had a great run making it all the way to the Semi Finals.
Unfortunately, the race to the Grand Final was put to an end as we were defeated by MONTE and eliminated in the Semi Finals following a 1-2 loss to the Ukrainian team.
Our Talent team are not at all on the resting side and will move right on to the next tournament in the BetBoom Playlist Freedom 2023 competition as we face 9 Pandas on May 2nd at 18:50 CEST.
