‍Device & Buzz 30-Bombs All The Way to Grand Final Glory

Tonight, on February 6th, we won the Grand Finals of the CCT North Europe Series 3 tournament against Aurora.‍

Led by yet another spectacular performance by newcomer Christian 'Buzz' Andersen and a well-playing Nicolai 'device' Reedtz, we claimed the grand final victory over the Russians after winning the hard-earned series 2-1.

Having already extinguished the Copenhagen Flames with a fiery performance by device in the semi finals earlier today, the Grand Final against Aurora began in similar dominating fashion with a confident T half on our map pick, Ancient, as we ended the first half 10-5.

In recent games we've proven ourselves to be quite strong on Ancient and today was no exception as we eventually closed out the first map 16-8.

It was a back to back dominating showing for us on Ancient as we also beat Copenhagen Flames 16-6 on the same map earlier today in the semi finals.

Aurora's map pick of Mirage turned out to be a more challenging 2nd map for us as we trailed behind 2-10 in the first half but managed to put together a couple of good rounds to end the first half 5-10.

Our comeback attempt was eventually shot down in the second half as the Russians eventually got the better of us and we had to concede the second map 9-16.

The 3rd and deciding map was Nuke, the battlefield on which the grand finalist of the tournament would be determined.

We started off behind 0-3 but soon began to fight back and go all the way to 7-3 led by some sharp impact plays, especially from Buzz. Aurora still put up a good fight and managed to close the gap as the first half ended 8-7 on our CT side.

Things didn't get any less competitive in the second half as we were fighting toe to toe with the Russian squad with each team evening out the score line with each round.

But then, yet again, Buzz stepped up with a hero play in the 18th round to win an impossible clutch that kickstarted a much needed 4-round win streak as we advanced to 13-9.

This wasn't quite enough to seal the win though as the nail biting grand final continued with Aurora once again evening the score to 14-14.

It could not get any closer but then device stepped up at just the right time in round 29 with a quad kill to take us to 15-14. But of course, though, we had to go the distance and take the match to overtime.

With both Buzz and the deadly duo of blameF and device being fully activated, overtime proved to be too much to handle for the Russians and in the end Aurora stood no chance as we trampled them with a flawless OT play to win the final map of Nuke 19-15 and thereby taking home the Grand Final win.

Buzz ended the series on top of the scoreboard with a very stellar performance after getting 30 kills on third map Nuke to seal the win for our team and ending the entire series with a 1.15 rating and 61 kills to his name. GGWP Buzz.

The semi finals game against Copenhagen Flames, that we played shortly before the grand final, was won in a dominant fashion as device was clearly on fire and put out the Copenhagen Flames on their map pick Vertigo with 31 kills, 116 ADR and a 1.81 rating that led us to win first map 16-9.

On the second map we had picked Ancient on which blameF this time around had pulled out the big guns and with the help of his team sealed the win in undeniable fashion after racing the first half to a 11-4 lead and ending the map 16-6, winning the semi finals 2-0.
