Dominating Our Way to Quarter Finals

Dominating Our Way to Quarter Finals

Our Rainbow Six Siege team is headed to the main stage of the Six Invitational, the world's biggest Rainbow Six tournament, after beating reigning Major champions Team BDS in a 2-1 victory.

After having removed all obstacles in our way by beating Soniqs and Los One in our lower bracket playoffs run, this win against Team BDS locks us in as Top 6 in the Six Invitational as we head to the Quarter Finals to play against KOI on the main stage on February 17 at 20:00 CET.

The final top 6 teams of Six Invitational are now the following:

  • Astralis
  • Oxygen
  • W7m
  • G2
  • Wolves
  • KOI

Iconic On Pressure playing in front of crowd

- We loved Charlotte, we loved the crowd. But now it’s a new level. Stick to the gameplan and focus on the moment and we should put on a show for the NA fans.

The match against Team BDS began on February 16 at 01:00 CET and took all three maps to reach the hard-fought victory that also eliminated the opponents from the tournament.

Map 1 was our map pick Villa that started with an even 3-3 first half. In the second half our strong defensive side strung together 4 rounds to win the first map 7-5.

Mango On any new preparations and strategy

- The preparations and strategy remain the same. The team keeps playing hard and we should find ourselves in a winning postion

The second map was Clubhouse, Team BDS' pick, and one of the weakest in our map pool. The map ended with a quick 1-7 defeat as we only managed to win one round on the attacking side.

Theme Park was the third and final map and started off with a dominating performance from us as we won the first half as defenders 5-1. The reigning Major champions did not give up without a fight as they claimed four round wins on the defending side and bringing the map close to overtime as we reached 6-5.

J9O on finishing Top 6

- Job's not finished.

We needed something big to prevent overtime and secure the win and then IGL Jack "J9O" Burkard stepped up and delivered a quad kill to close out the map 7-5 and thereby winning the series 2-1.

Be sure to watch our Rainbow Six squad head for the stars as we face KOI in the quarter finals on the Six Invitational main stage tomorrow on February 17th at 20:00 CET. Watch the match here.
