ESL Pro League Season 16 Viewers' Guide

It's our time to fight in the ESL Pro League Season 16!

Get ready to watch our boys play their first match of the tournament this Wednesday, September 14th at 16:00 CEST/4:00 PM, where we will face Complexity.

The $823,000 competition began on August 31 and has 24 of the world's best teams competing in four different groups of six teams each.

We will be competing in Group C, which kicks off this Wednesday, where we will go head to head with the following teams:

Group C (September 14-18):

  • Astralis
  • MOUZ
  • Heroic
  • ENCE
  • HEET
  • Complexity

The teams will be playing in a BO3-format, where each team will have to face each other. The top three teams per group will head to the playoffs and the best team from each group will also be heading straight to the quarter-finals.

The rest of the groups are as follows with Group A and B having already finished group stage:

Group A

  • Natus Vincere
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Spirit
  • fnatic
  • Endpoint

Group B

  • FaZe
  • G2
  • BIG
  • Outsiders
  • MIBR
  • FTW

Group D

  • Liquid
  • Cloud9
  • Movistar Riders
  • Eternal Fire
  • Evil Geniuses

Besides competing for taking the biggest cut of the $823,000 prize pool, the winners of the tournament will also be qualifying themselves for BLAST World Final 2022, which is to take place from December 14-18 in Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, first place will also qualify for IEM Katowice 2023 and will earn an Intel Grand Slam spot, one of four wins needed to receive the coveted $1,000,000 Intel Grand Slam prize. The total prize pool breakdown is:

  • 1st. $175,000 + BLAST World Final + more
  • 2. $70,000
  • 3-4. $35,000
  • 5-8. $17,500
  • 9-12. $12,000
  • 13-16. $9,000
  • 17-20. $7,500
  • 21-24. $6,000

ESL Pro League Season 16 will also be our chance to hopefully make a deeper run into the tournament than last time when we placed 5th-8th place in Season 15 earlier this year.

This week will be filled with exciting matches on the following days:
