On February 20, the Main Team clashed against Heroic in their third Bo1 match of the RMR Swiss format. Following their earlier triumph over Nexus and nail-bitingly close match with Spirit, the squad was hungry for another victory in the qualification tournament.
The match kicked off with a tough start for the Danes on the CT side, losing the pistol round and struggling with unsuccessful force buys. Thus, they were trailing 0-6 on Mirage. However, they showed resilience, winning three consecutive rounds to narrow the gap to 3-9 by halftime. After switching sides, the roster mounted a comeback, securing the T-pistol round and the following rounds. Despite their efforts, a crucial anti-eco loss led to Heroic extending their lead to 10-6. Heroic eventually reached match point and secured the victory, dealing a tough loss to the Danish squad on Mirage.
Advancing to the Major requires three victories in the group stage. Three defeats result in elimination from the run. The Main team now has a 1-2 record in the RMR, meaning they must win two Bo3s to secure participation in the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
On Wednesday, February 21, the Danes will fight for their survival in the RMR. The opponent and time of the match are still to be decided.
