Falling Short in the Grand Final

Following our win over 9INE, we were ready for our Grand Final against Cloud9 in the online tournament Brazy Party 2023.

Our map pick, Overpass, was the first battlefield of the Grand Final, and we were off to a great start with five initial round wins! The rest of the first half was equally solid on our side, as our opponent only managed to secure five round wins in total.

With a solid first-half win in the bag, the second half looked promising. As the past few months of Overpass have shown, we have proven our worth on the famous map. Equally worthy and dominant was our CT side with six round wins to win the map with a 16-5 score. It was a sublime performance from all the boys, with every single one ending with a positive rating!

A long way down on Vertigo

Next up was Vertigo, Cloud9's map pick. Despite great efforts in the first half and a pistol round win on our CT side, our opponent proved too strong throughout the map. With a relatively close first half, the second half was up for grabs. Unfortunately, Cloud9 mirrored our CT side on Overpass and took home a dominant win on the second map.

Falling short in the decider

The final and deciding map of the Grand Final was Inferno. With the overall score set at 1-1, the infamous map was sure to be a true thriller. We started off on the CT side and quickly took home two wins to kick off the map. Despite valiant efforts from the boys, Cloud9 had the upper hand throughout both their T and CT side. In the end, we lost on Inferno with a 12-16 score, and thus, losing the Grand Final.

It's never easy to lose, but it's all part of the game. We didn't come out on top today, but we're still proud of what we accomplished. We gave it our all and left nothing on the table. GGWP @C9CSGO.

There are many positives to take from this tournament, and we will work hard to achieve more great results in the upcoming and final CS:GO tournaments. Once again, we would like to thank all of you for supporting us, and we look forward to playing for you again!

Next up: Our main team is gearing up for the upcoming and highly anticipated IEM Dallas 2023 challenge, which takes place from May 29th to June 4th.
This LAN tournament has a prize pool of $250,000 and will involve 16 teams battling it out for the ultimate victory.
