ESL Pro League Season 16
With the Group Stages of ESL Pro League Season 16 being well underway, here’s everything you need to know about the format, prize pool, our matches, and much more!
On September, we will be playing our first game of the Group Stage. We will be going up against Complexity in the hunt of the many rewards that are at stake at this tournament. Our group consists of ourselves, ENCE, Complexity, HEET, MOUZ, and our Danish rivals in Heroic. All of the teams will be fighting for the spot in the quarterfinals that is the reward for winning the group. Advancing to the playoffs will get us a step closer to the $175,000 prize that is at stake in the Grand Final. In addition to the $835,000 prize pool, the winner directly qualifies for the BLAST World Final 2022 & IEM Katowice 2023.
With 24 teams competing, we will need to be playing at our absolute best to win the tournament we have won on multiple occasions. In the Group Stage, each team play each other once in Bo3 matches only. The first place in each of the four groups advance directly to the quarterfinals in which Vitality and G2 Esports have already secured their spots. The second and third place teams of each group advance to the Round of 12, while the bottom three teams will be eliminated from the tournament. The Playoffs will be following a single-elimination format where each match will be a Bo3-series, except for the Grand Final which will feature a Bo5-series.
Don’t forget to tune in to watch our first match against Complexity and the upcoming matches in the Group Stages that end on the 25th of September. The Playoffs run from September 27 - October 2. We expect nothing less than the best support from the best fans in all of E-sport!
