The WePlay Comeback and Upcoming Finals

The WePlay Comeback and Upcoming Finals

February 11, our Counter-Strike Talent team joins the server in the biggest tournament they have ever played in, WePlay Academy, where they will compete against the best up and coming players in the Counter-Strike pro scene.

From acquiring Trace, former head coach of ECSTATIC, a top #20 HLTV team.

With just a few weeks of practice the team started the new year in the WePlay Academy League Season 3. After eight matches, the team was left with just two wins placing at bottom of Group A.

Heading into the Single Elimination Bracket, the Talent team had everything to prove and nothing to lose. We faced against Fnatic Rising in a BO3 series, and with the odds stacked against us after losing the first map 1-16, playoffs seemed like an impossible feat. However, after two back and forth games, the guys closed out both games 16-14 going through to the elimination stage.

Here they encountered NAVI Junior - last season's runner-ups. They played a challenging game against the young AWP'er latt1kk & Co on Overpass but ultimately overcame the Russian squad, 2-1

In the last chance to qualify for the finals, Astralis Talent took on Young Ninjas. A team that recently had three of their players tested on the main team in a Tier 1 environment. After an incredible display from our prodigies, the series was closed out 2-0, sending us to the playoffs against MOUZ NXT.
