On Tuesday 2nd, our Counter-Strike main team emerged victorious with a 2-0 win in the Semi-Final against 9INE in the Brazy Party 2023 online tournament. The squad won a closely contested game, beating their opponents 22-19 on the first map, Vertigo. They continued their success with a more comfortable 16-7 win on the second map, Ancient, which secured their spot in the tournament final.
Once again, our players had to go into overtime to secure a 22-19 victory on the first map. Thanks to the strong performances of Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, our squad was able to take down 9INE on their map pick and end the Polish squad's impressive 16-map win streak on Vertigo.
Our team played exceptionally well on Vertigo, with blameF (35), dev1ce (32 kills), and gla1ve (30 kills) impressing with their stats. This boosted our squad's confidence as they moved on to their map pick, Ancient, hoping to continue their winning streak.
It's crucial to note that our team's success was considerably influenced by our 19-year-old rifler, Alexander "Altekz" Givskov. He made an essential triple kill that allowed us to return from a 16-17 deficit and ultimately win on Vertigo.
After that, our team had a strong offensive showing during our map pick, particularly Altekz on the T side, who had 15 kills. This prevented 9INE from staging a comeback in the second half.
Overall, gla1ve and the squad were relatively in complete control on the second map, Ancient, and finished the series strongly with a 16-7 victory, ultimately securing their spot in the final.
