We're BACK - IEM Road to Rio 2022 Europe RMR A

The time is here for the next RMR (Regional Major Rankings) series that will determine which teams qualify for the much anticipated IEM Rio Major 2022!

Counter Strike fans and players have wished for a Major to be held in Brazil for years, and that wish has now been realized. The teams participating in the next Major will earn their invites through regional rankings, which will be updated based on their performance in the upcoming RMR series. There is, therefore, no doubt that all teams will be playing at their utmost best in pursuing one of the few spots at the Major.

16 teams participate in the RMR series, with the top eight qualifying for the Major. Of these eight teams, the top four qualify directly for the Major, whereas the remaining teams qualify for the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challenger Stage.

The RMR series will employ the Swiss system, meaning each Group Stage match will be Bo1 matches, while the progression and elimination matches will be Bo3 series.

A few things have happened since we qualified through the Open Qualifier. Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke has undergone surgery and will not participate in the upcoming Major qualification. Astralis Talent player, Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen, will stand in for k0nfig during the RMR.
