A tough first week of the LEC Winter Season 2023 has ended.
The League of Legends EMEA Championship runs from January 21 to February 26, where ten teams fight for €40.000 and a spot in the Mid Season Invitational 2023 and LEC Finals.
Our season began on January 21 against Team Heretics at 20:00 CET.
113 and co. got off to a great start by eliminating five enemies against Heretics' single kill.
Despite being in the lead in both eliminations and gold, our opponents responded by tying the score 9-9.
Heretics continued the comeback and won the game with a 16-24 score.
The following day we faced MAD Lions, whose roars were too loud for us.
Finn secured the First Blood, but MAD Lions evened it out shortly after.
Our opponents were a few steps ahead and unfortunately extended the lead after an intense group fight 25 minutes into the game.
MAD Lions destroyed our Nexus and claimed victory.
Our final fixture of the week was against G2 Esports, which lasted only a short time.
The first five minutes were relatively even, but sadly, G2 Esports proved too strong and won the game after 25 minutes.
After a rough first week with a 0-3 score, we look forward to improving in the upcoming matches.
