Today we advanced to the Grand Final in BLAST Fall Showdown after a tremendous 2-1 triumph against Vitality.
After a 2-1 victory against Eternal Fire on Wednesday, we advanced to the Semi Final of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 with Vitality as our next opponent.
Our most recent matchup against the french organization was nothing more than a thriller back in August, resulting in a 19-17 victory on Mirage in favor of Astralis.
We got a great start on our map pick, Nuke, in which we took the first half 9-6 as T-side. The CT-side didn't start as good, with Vitality coming back into the game, making the score 11-13.
The hopes were still high, especially after a crucial economic round win, almost tying the score 12-13. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to turn the game around, and we were defeated 12-16 on the first map.
With backs against the wall, we went into Vitality's map pick, Dust II. We won the first eight rounds in a row, with MistR already achieving thirteen frags!
We needed some extra rounds to adjust to the T-side, but in the end, we managed to win the second map 16-9 with superb performances from Farlig and MistR.
Going into the decider, Inferno, our confidence was back because of a great Dust II act. BlameF showed muscles on the third map by producing several highlights and backing that up with a 30-12 K/D and an incredible 2.11 rating!
The third map ended 16-8, creating an overall match result of 2-1 against the world's #1. Because of that, we advance to the Grand Final on Sunday at 19:30 CEST!
Besides a prize of 20.300 Euro, a spot in the BLAST Premier Fall Finals are at stake in the Grand Final. We are facing the winner of Heroic vs. Sangal.
