Tough Loss in Semi-Final

Tough Loss in Semi-Final

Unfortunately, following a streak of five consecutive victories the previous night, the Astralis main team encountered a harsh defeat on the morning of May 18th in the semi-final of the Europe Open Qualifier.

Regrettably, the team suffered a tough loss in a best-of-one (bo1) duel against the French squad Looking4Org, with the final score ending 16-12.

Despite initially establishing a strong advantage on the CT side of Nuke, leading with a score of 6-1, the tide of the match quickly shifted as Looking4Org mounted a commendable offensive performance, resulting in a halftime scoreline of 9-6 in their favor.

Trailing behind with a score of 7-15 in the second half, the guys exerted their utmost effort to mount a successful comeback, securing five consecutive round wins. However, the margin was insurmountable, resulting in Looking4Org emerging as the victors with a score of 16-12.

These single-map encounters can be challenging, and unfortunately, the players fell short today, thus missing the opportunity to advance to the Europe Open Qualifier final and ultimately securing a spot in the upcoming Gamers8 Festival.

The Europe Open Qualifier 2 presents another chance to secure a spot at the Gamers8 CS:GO tournament, taking place from July 11th to July 12th.

Thanks to all those who supported by tuning in to the live stream of the main team's matches, which was made available for the first time on the official Astralis website.
