MistR sold to Espionage

He was one of the first to be signed when Astralis announced a new talent push in 2020 and joined the team half a year later. He has since been a key part of the talent team and played just under 40 games for the main team.

Today is his last day in the organization, as Astralis and den Espionage have agreed on a transfer sending Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen on to the Danish esports organization.

"Mikkel has always been loyal and been a great representative for Astralis since his first day. Therefore, it is with mixed feelings that we now say goodbye to him, however in all ways and forms he has given his all to Astralis, and he deserves to get a chance to shine in other surroundings."

"Our goal with the talent team is to develop players who can either push for a spot our main team or become interesting for other organisations. That is why we are both happy and proud of Mikkel's history as a culture bearer on the talent team and as a first-team player during a period when we needed him to step in and step up. We thank him for his always loyal efforts and wish him every success in the future."

Mikkel "MistR" Thomsen:

"Astralis has been my home ever since I started as a professional and it has been a huge honor to be part of this organisation. It's hard to say goodbye, because I've really had a good time here with both my teammates and all those in the organization who have always welcomed me with open arms, but I'm also looking forward to the next challenges."

"Thanks to Astralis for my time here, I couldn’t have started my career in a better place. Now I move on and it will be super exciting to see how far we can take it together on Espionage. I have a really good impression of their team and org, and look forward to get going."

The two organizations have agreed not to comment on the financial details.
